Skills and Qualities:
Sales experience: a successful track record of meeting sales targets and closing deals.
Strategic thinking: ability to develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company’s goals.
Market knowledge: understanding of the industry, market trends, and customer needs. Keen eye in identifying emerging markets and awareness of new products and competitor activities. Able to assist in implementing business strategy plans to expand customer base and market presence.
Analytical skills: ability to analyse, track, report and present data on sales performance, forecast and market trends to better achieve individual sales targets (via the annual budget planning process).
Customer focus: strong customer service orientation, ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers and successfully manage credit control of customer accounts.
Communication: strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Tuned in to the sensibilities of assigned market/s and able to successfully negotiate deals.
Assertiveness: results driven, self-starting and can work autonomously. Able to coordinate effectively with marketing & customer service on lead generation and follow ups. Contribute to the generation of customer insights and how they relate to improvement in product offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Business or related fields.
- Minimum 4 to 6 years’ experience in Sales environment.
- Possess strong knowledge and understanding of specialty chemicals in Food/Health industry and ability to lead technical discussions and presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to speak and write in Mandarin is essential.
- Preferably with past experience/knowledge in China, Taiwan and Korea markets.
